Are you guilty of being a zombie client?

When was the last time you spoke to your insurance adviser and reviewed your cover? Do you even know the name of the person looking after you?

Firstly, well done on taking to time to get insurance cover in place. But insurance is not a set-and-forget strategy. As your career and family situation evolves and changes, so do your insurance needs. Insurance is a cost (that gets more expensive every year) so I recommend you take the time to review what you’re paying to ensure you’re only paying for what you need and saving money where you can.

If you haven’t been offered a review of your insurance policies in the last 12 months you fit into the category of ‘zombie client’. This means the adviser attached to your policy is happy to collect to renewal commission each year without doing any work. It is well worth waking up and reviewing what you have and what you’re actually paying for.

For example, an anesthetist was paying over $70,000 p.a. for his insurance. We were able to review the levels and restructure the cover without any medicals or going through underwriting and saved him over $30,000 p.a.

If you don’t know where to start or don’t have time, feel free to reach out and we can review what you have to see if it’s still appropriate for you.
